Entering into Our Promised Land I'm pleased about this day. This day has just been moving along really quickly, and we are at the end of June. Today my meditation has really been on "Jesus comforts his disciples about peace." We don't have to live this life without order. Jesus comforts us. It says in John 14:10 (TPT), “Don't worry or surrender to your fear. For you've believed in God, now trust and believe in me also.” I like that promise. Jesus says for us, “Don't worry or surrender to your fear.” It’s so easy in this day and age to surrender to fear to give into it. Jesus promised us that we can rest in him. He says, "My Father's house has many dwelling places. If it were otherwise, I would tell you plainly because I go to prepare a place for you to rest." Obviously. A-More-Than-I-Expect-Life: A Proverbs Lifestyle of Abundance and Overflow I have a garden, and God is supplying weather that we need for my garden to flourish abundantly. God’s promises are abundant and real. Just like in the natural world, in the spirit of my soul, he's watering me like a beautiful garden. Water is needed in the garden literally, and so it is required figuratively in our spiritual lives. I feel the water and the flow of God moving in my life. Lady Wisdom Speaks Academy is my platform in which we learn ways to apply wisdom for our everyday lives. I want to live a Proverbs lifestyle of wisdom. When I do that I’m able to make good and sound decisions. Biblical meditation of the word of God specifically the book of Proverbs, helps me to explore the words of wisdom. Living and Doing Things That Matter It is imperative that we do things that matter. We should do things according to what God has for us to do. When we just doing our own thing, we are susceptible to all types of deception. There’s a chance that we're not going to be successful, but when we do what God says for us to do, we will win. Doing it his way, makes God obligated to help us to be successful. What we have to do is not be afraid and walk in faith. This quote by Mary Engelbreit that means a lot to me and really has helped me is, “Bloom where you're planted.” I found it to be a significant statement that one needs to not just settle for things but to bloom. Actually, letting the glory of God come out from within them allows the glory of God to be seen in our lives. A Wisdom Lifestyle of Worship The essence of what I'm about is the reverence and worship of God through my lifestyle. I'm working towards achieving a wisdom lifestyle. So within it, you will see different themes and topics addressing the knowledge and understanding of daily living through the lens of wisdom. Turn Our Thoughts and Minds Towards God Putting some effort into what God has called us to do takes time. To Meditate on the word of God Psalms 1:1-3 KJV says, “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord and in that law doth he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; whatsoever he doeth shall prosper." I n that scripture, it tells us that as we meditate the word of God, and we think about the Lord, we can grow into a flourishing tree. We can develop a growth mindset of abundance. It leads to success. That’s why we're looking to wisdom and the word of God. Light Leads the Way to Joy The light or insight comes to the one who follows God's ways. That's so beautiful. Entering the Peace Zone: Biblical Mindfulness As I entered my backyard deck, I just wanted to soak in the beauty of the Lord. I just wanted to experience and soak in what God was doing and the newness of the day. There's something about going out into the garden in the morning when everything is quiet when most people are still asleep. Others are busy getting ready for work. I get to absorb in the rays of the sun. I can smell the freshness of the air. Everything is alive, and the garden is awake early in the morning. The birds are singing. The brilliance of the blooms is apparent because of the dew on the leaves. The opening act of a new day, it's just a beautiful thing. Every day provides a brand unique experience. We can know the greatest of our God by observing the garden. Great is Thy Faithfulness is the song that comes to mind. “Morning by morning new mercies I see...” God's faithfulness is so good!
