"She...plans the day's work..." Proverbs 31:15 Lady Wisdom asks, “What are your plans for the day?” The virtuous wife is a planner! She is up early in the morning organizing her day. She is a boss. She does not waste time but is productive and organized. She is buying and selling. She is cooking and cleaning. She has her own business. She is energetic, a hard worker and looks for opportunities to make a deal. She also helps the poor and needy. She takes time for herself by making sure that she looks presentable.  "...her own clothing is beautifully made- a purple gown of pure linen." (Proverbs 31:22, Living Bible) I am happy to see that she cares about herself as well and likes to look attractive. I think that Lady Wisdom is a good person to follow. She will help us to make good decisions and create plans that are God-centered. The Lord wants us to be productive and to be the very best that we can be. What are you searching for? “…explori

You Have Been Crowned with Success "In everything you do, put God first and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success." Proverbs 3:6, Living Bible  Lady Wisdom asks, “Who comes first?” Lady Wisdom gives us the answer to success. She has the knowledge and understanding of how to obtain the crown. Putting God first is the secret to success! He provides direction and supports our efforts. We all want to be successful. God is the one who will help us to achieve it. The Lord's presence equals success and prosperity. The key to success is having the presence of God in our lives. Asking God first about things in our lives will open up Lady Wisdom to provide answers to questions that we have for our everyday living.  That means that we need to begin with prayer and worship to God. Early in the morning, we need to seek the Lord. Practicing the presence of God will bring success to our daily lives. Lord, what do you think about this issue? Lord, wh

Lady Wisdom Is Proactive!  "Come here and listen to me! I'll pour out the spirit of wisdom upon you and make you wise." Proverbs 1:23, Living Bible Lady Wisdom asks, “Who are you listening to?” Thankfully, Lady Wisdom is willing to work with us. If we do not listen, then we are going to "eat the bitter fruit of having our own way". Oh, no! I think that I need to start listening more closely to Lady Wisdom and be proactive. I want to live in peace and safety. I need to have peace with my body, mind, soul and spirit.  What am I going to do to develop good habits? First things first. Pray! Read! Listen!  Do! Be thankful! Let's think about prayer. Asking for help when we feel weak or insecure is acceptable. Prayer opens us up to getting help from God. Next, reading the Bible or an inspirational text can give us ideas and answers to our questions. Then, listening to what the words or our inner voice is saying to us is important. We have to get qui

Learn to Be Wise "Learn to be wise, and develop good judgment and common sense! I cannot overemphasize this point." Proverbs 4:5, Living Bible Lady Wisdom asks, “Are you ready for mastery?” Being wise is something that we can learn. That's a good thing! If we had to be born with the wise gene to be wise then many of us would not have the opportunity to live the good life. It also tells me that being wise is a process, something that needs to be developed. Learning something takes time, practice and then mastery. "Cling to wisdom-she will protect you. Love her-she will guard you." (Proverbs 4:6, Living Bible) How do we cling to wisdom? I think that we memorize the word and/or study it until it becomes a part of our makeup. It becomes a learned behavior, something that is instinctive.  I also think that wisdom is something that requires continual learning. We also learn by experience and also by practice. Making wise decisions is developed as we pu

Are you keeping an eye on your household?: Watch Carefully!

"She watches carefully all that goes on throughout her household, and is never lazy."  Proverbs 31:27 Living Bible Lady Wisdom asks, “Are you keeping an eye on your household?” Watch carefully! These two words are speaking to me! I think that we do not pay attention to things that happen in our lives and we become complacent and lazy. Then we find ourselves in a big hole and wonder, “How did we get here?” Paying attention to our household to me is not just looking at what is happening in our physical houses but what is happening in our physical body or life that God has given us. We are the temple of the living God. We need to make sure that we are feeding and caring for ourselves in all areas of our lives, body, mind, soul and spirit. We cannot get lazy! Still, we need to be watch carefully and be cognizant of what is happening in our families. We should be also looking at the systems and routines in our household. Are they efficient and effective? Looking at
