"She...plans the day's
work..." Proverbs 31:15
Lady Wisdom asks, “What are your
plans for the day?”
The virtuous wife is a planner! She is up early in the morning organizing her day. She is a boss. She does not waste time but is productive and organized. She is buying and selling. She is cooking and cleaning. She has her own business. She is energetic, a hard worker and looks for opportunities to make a deal. She also helps the poor and needy.
She takes time for herself by making sure that she looks presentable. "...her own clothing is beautifully made- a purple gown of pure linen." (Proverbs 31:22, Living Bible) I am happy to see that she cares about herself as well and likes to look attractive.
I think that Lady Wisdom is a good person to follow. She will help us to make good decisions and create plans that are God-centered. The Lord wants us to be productive and to be the very best that we can be.

Lady
Wisdom asks, “Are you ready to dig?”
There are nuggets of truth that we
are searching for. These nuggets are very valuable and can provide success in
every area of our lives. Truths to be found if we dig in to what Lady Wisdom
teaches and gather them up. I was watching a show in which miners where digging
for different gems. They had to be very observant and patient. There were
specific attributes that they were looking for in the rock formations. They
called it different mineral veins or deposits. When they found what they were
looking for then they would call a friend over to verify the find. A plan was
then put in place to see how to retrieve the treasure.
Gaining better insight and discernment are what is offered by Lady Wisdom. (Proverbs 2:1 - 5, Living Bible) The more we search for these nuggets of truth the more we are able to gain knowledge and understanding on how things work. We gain an understanding about God. We gain an understanding of what is important. Our focus becomes clearer of what has the most value. Being able to discern a situation and then take the correct action is priceless.
All of this takes effort! Do we have the tolerance, patience, stamina, humility, and reverence to search for these nuggets of truth? Following Lady Wisdom requires that our internal ears are listening closely to the inner voice of reason. To listen well will need us to be quiet and still. Other sounds or voices will need to be block out. Time will have to be given to this practice of listening.
Following her voice will get us to the treasure. We will have to obey to get to the next nugget. We cannot stay in one place and expect to find the nugget, treasure or lost money. It requires a search. Lady Wisdom describes it like this, "Yes, if you want better insight and discernment and are searching for them as you would for lost money or hidden treasure then wisdom will be given you and knowledge of God himself..." (Proverbs 1: 3 - 5, Living Bible)
