September 5th Prayer - God Give Me Peace in My Heart!

Many people are walking around with pain in their hearts. To be able to encourage the spirit of Peace in our environment first, we have to get our heart right with God. You may say that you are born again and that Jesus lives in your heart. I believe that it is true. There are things that need to move out so that the Holy Spirit can take up every corner of your private house. We want to be a home for God's Holy Spirit.

What is inside that makes you so anxious or uncomfortable? Who do you dread seeing or being around? Why do you feel anger or pain in some places? Questions like these will help us to examine our thoughts, emotions, and deeply hidden feelings. The bible says that we can prosper and be in health even as our souls prosper. Our soul is made up of our mind, will, and emotion.

Do you have Joy in your heart? Does Peace reside there? I believe that the spirit of Joy and Peace have been given to us to help us overcome life’s tests and trials. We can have these raging thoughts of murmuring, complaining and discord removed. Jesus gave us his peace when he was leaving the earth. He said, “My peace, I leave with you...” We can pray Peace to be our companion and help us remove other forces that are not from Jesus.

 Prayer is the tool that we use to help us move closer to God. Jesus is the Prince of Peace. He wants us to spread peace to others, but first, we must make sure that our hearts are filled with the Holy Spirit's wisdom, joy, and peace. Amen
