September 4th Prayer: Strength and Courage

Strength and courage for this day seem to be the theme. At the beginning of the month, at the beginning of anything, I need power and courage. Many questions fill my mind like, what if I am wasting my time? Will this work? What is it that I need to focus on? What is the most important? These questions all have some validity to them. Yet, I know that I must begin and move forward in faith for the next victory. Nothing will be accomplished if I do nothing.

The verse for the day in the Bible app which I refer to almost every day is Deuteronomy 31:6 KJV, “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” This is the promise that the Lord also gives to us. Be strong! Be courageous! Fear not! Do not be afraid! I, God am with you! Isn’t this fantastic that God is our encourager and that He knows just what we need to know.

I want to have all of the faith I need to move forward. I want to fulfill the plans that God has for me. I can rest in the truth of his word. What he said he will do! He will give me strength, and he will provide me with courage as I lean on and believe His word. I will take action! Amen
