September 20th Prayer

Will-power or Holy Spirit power?

But I say walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit
[responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will
certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature
without God). Galatians 5:16 AMPC

Dear Father God, I thank you that your Holy Spirit is present
to help us live a life that is pleasing to you.

We want to enjoy the life that you have destined for us to
have. I try to run my life, but I find that my mind, will, and emotions always
lead me to a stuck place. I end up doing the things that I don’t want to do. My
will power becomes weak, and I succumb to what my emotions want me to do.

Lord, I am tired of falling prey to my emotions and fears. I
am asking you for Holy Spirit assistance in increasing my resistance to the
things that make me fall short of your glory. I want to be Spirit-led. My will
power and discipline are needed and essential to having a productive life. But,
I realize that that is not enough to be able to live a wisdom-God centered
life. I want to make it across the finish line and accomplish my purpose for
being here.

So Dear Heavenly Father, I am asking for my subscribers and
me that you release your power into my willpower and that you energize us so
that we can fulfill your purpose for us and we can finish our assignments
strong. We will give you all of the glory and all of the praise because we know
that without your holy power, we could not get the job done.

Thank you in advance for leading the way and giving us the
power to achieve success today. In Jesus name, Amen.
