August 21st Blessing: Start Our Day with God Prepared

Fruit of Faithfulness

The blessing of the day is that we can start our day with God. We have the choice to become world changers by our act of starting our day with Him.  God will allow us to get an inside scoop of what the day will be. We can set the tone of the day by acknowledging Him. When we address God first in the morning when we rise, we are telling God that we want to partner with Him. He is our boss, our commander in chief and we are coming to Him for instructions. These instructions can save our lives. It can even start something great that will last throughout eternity.

Dedicating ourselves to God each morning like David did in Ps 25:1 states, “Unto you, Lord, do I bring my life.” Lifting up our hands every morning to the Lord and telling Him, “Here I am.”  Lord show me my assignment, show me what to do, show me where to go? Give me the words to speak. When we ask God for wisdom and guidance, that is an act of surrender. When we acknowledge God in all of our ways, He will direct our path. Ask God first and ask him for wisdom and be humble to hear and to follow his directions.

Rising every morning and acknowledging God requires the fruit of faithfulness. Are we going to be faithful to the Lord? He is committed to us. He has provided salvation. That is wholeness, peace, and joy. Lady Wisdom speaks in Proverbs and says, "When will you wake up?" (Proverbs 6:9 TLB). We can wake up and be wise. God has blessings with our name on it, but it requires that we consult God first. Our nuggets of gold will come in many ways, but if you are not looking for them, then it will be easy to miss them.

We actually have the advantage when we consult with God. He knows what is in the future and He can give us the upper hand in every situation. The benefits of starting the day with God is that first, We do not have to be upset about everything. We can be calm and relaxed because we know that it is not us who is directing our day. We have a boss, and his name is Jesus. The buck stops with Him. He has the final say.

When we develop the routine of rising early each day, second, we can handle the demanding tasks with a clear mindset. Focused, we’re ready to strategize. We can clearly think through our plans and come up with action steps and review our resources. We can also take inventory of what is needed to accomplish the goals for the day. We are prepared. Being attentive and watchful can prevent many unnecessary things from happening. We are alert to the dangers ahead. This advantage allows us to avoid the pitfalls and to move with confidence towards the goal.

God will open doors for you. He will bring you to people who need your blessing and happiness. You will be planting seeds of joy because you will already know what the end result will be. To live a stress-free life is to put God first in your morning routine. Starting your day with God will make you a winner with transformational results giving you the advantage. Your impact on humanity will give God glory because of your faithfulness and reverence for Him.
