Proverbs, the Wisdom of God
Lady Wisdom is the personification of the wisdom of God, who assists Him in the creation of the world (Proverbs 8:22-31). The word for wisdom in the Hebrew is grammatically feminine (hokmah); therefore, wisdom is personified as a lady. In the book of Proverbs, we're getting direct information from God Himself, the one who created this world. So if He is the creator of the world, then He has the answers that we need. When we asked Him for the reply, through His guidance, He will show us what to do and how to do it. What is best is to consult God. Pray. Ask Him first. James wrote (James 1:5) that if anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask of God. He will freely give it to us.
Now His voice is that inner voice within us. Every man has within him the spirit which we call his conscience. God blew within every man the breath of life (Genesis 2:7). In it, we all carry that candle of the Lord (Proverbs 20:27). Our spirit, man or woman will come alive with the word of God because of the spirit-to-spirit connection. When we read the word of God, the two come together, and there is agreement.
When we read the word of God, we can have a connection through the Spirit. You can also connect with other people who have the Holy Spirit, who are waking to the mind of God. There can be an agreement in the word that is spoken. It’s being aware of who is in one accord with you and the Holy Spirit. Look for that agreement with whatever is expressed in the word of God (Romans 8:16).
Lady Wisdom in the Book of Proverbs says that the beginning of wisdom is the fear and reverence of God (Proverbs 9:10). Not to be afraid of God, but it's the acknowledgment of God. That there is a God. In Hebrews 11:6, it states that without faith, it is impossible to please God. First, you must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Faith is something that we all have. Either we are going to have faith in God or going to have confidence in ourselves. We all have faith, but more than ever, we need to have faith in God. We’ve developed that desire for faith; by communicating with God, doing biblical meditation, reading and studying His word and prayer.
