Becoming a Leader
Getting people to buy into a vision is the work of a leader. First, the leader must believe in the vision themselves and be willing to do what it takes to make the vision a reality. Being able to articulate the vision in a way that others can see the big picture and have faith requires passion. There must be a set drive to see the vision materialize. Ultimately, success is the reward for diligence.
Seth Godin in his book, Tribes: We Need You to Lead, describes a tribe as "a group of people connected to one another, connected to a leader, and connected to an idea." People want to be connected to each other. They also are looking for something new, something to make them grow.
