Constant Praise!
What activities of your lives are keeping you back from God’s blessings?
Those who live to bless others will have blessings heaped upon them, and the one who pours out his life to pour out blessings will be saturated with favor. Proverbs 11:25 TPT
The things we do and the habits we form can keep us back from experiencing the full benefits of living a God-centered life. Having constant praise helps us to focus on the beauty that God the Father provides. Amid beauty, we can live in Eden, creating a garden of joy in our hearts. It is much easier to develop and explore our purpose when we are not worried about our basic needs. Some call this process self-actualization, which has been defined as “the full realization of one’s potential and of one’s true self.”
We all desire to reach a place of doing all that we are capable of. It is essential to know your core strengths, stay centered in the Holy Spirit, follow the vision and plan that God intended for your life, and stay on the path by listening and following wisdom’s instructions. Through keeping our hearts attuned to God’s way of being and doing things, we will find that this process becomes more natural as we grow into the mature person, therefore, reaching a state of self-actualization.
Letting go of the dead weight and the things that are not benefiting us is a massive part of the process. It is necessary to examine one’s activities and make sure that they line up with our end goal. The success we desire comes in the actual follow-through of the self- evaluative process. Christ’s resurrection is our resurrection too! We have the power to do what the believers in Acts 19. “A number of those who practiced magic collected their books and burned them publically when the value of these books was calculated, it was found to come to fifty thousand silver coins, (Acts 19:19 TPT).” Colossians 3:17 TPT encourages us to “Let every activity of your lives and every word that comes from your lips be drenched with the beauty of our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. And bring your constant praise to God the Father because of what Christ has done for you!”
The best activity to me is to let your life be “constant praise to God.” Examine everything that you do. If God is not getting glory from the activity, then reconsider if you should be participating in it. There are many great activities and projects that you can create, innovate, and invent. Ask the Holy Spirit to inspire you to produce something that will give God glory and change the world.
Dear Lord,
Thank you for giving us dreams and visions of who we truly are. Help us to take the time to discover our full potential. We do not want to be lazy and take the easy way by trying to fit in with others. Help us to stand out and shine with your glory by being our true selves.
In Jesus' name,
Amen
